Developer Relations Engineer
Location: Singapore or Kuala Lumpur
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Opportunity
Nodeworthy is supporting a leading Solana-based decentralized exchange in hiring a Developer Relations Engineer.
In this role, you will improve the experience of developers and ecosystem partners building with the company’s platform and developer tools. You will provide hands-on technical assistance, help resolve integration issues, create educational resources, and represent the company within the broader developer ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong Rust and TypeScript capabilities with practical blockchain experience and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable reading code, troubleshooting technical problems, and explaining solutions to developers with different levels of experience.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
Provide timely technical support to developers and partners through channels such as Telegram, Discord, GitHub, video calls, and community forums.
Help developers integrate with SDKs, APIs, command-line tools, code examples, and on-chain programs.
Troubleshoot Rust and TypeScript implementation and deployment issues.
Work with internal engineers to investigate frontend integration errors and SDK-related problems.
Assist with backend issues involving APIs, adapters, indexing services, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
Create scripts, adapters, examples, or other technical resources when needed.
Developer Engagement
Build strong working relationships with developers, technical partners, and other ecosystem stakeholders.
Understand developers’ concerns and ensure that important issues are communicated to the relevant internal teams.
Serve as a technical advocate for the company within the Solana developer ecosystem.
Promote secure development practices and high-quality integrations.
Provide clear and consistent communication when technical issues are being investigated.
Developer Education
Create and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, sample code, scripts, and demonstrations.
Work with engineering teams to address common developer questions and integration challenges.
Host or participate in webinars, workshops, hackathons, and other developer-focused events.
Help developers understand how to integrate with the platform effectively and securely.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Gather feedback from developers and recommend improvements to the product, documentation, and overall developer experience.
Coordinate with on-chain, frontend, and backend engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Summarise external feedback and translate it into actionable technical requirements.
Stay current with developments across the Solana ecosystem and communicate changes that may affect developers.
Job requirements
Required Skills
Strong proficiency in Rust and TypeScript.
Practical understanding of Solana, blockchain programs, wallets, transactions, and developer tooling.
Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot frontend and backend code.
Experience working with SDKs, APIs, command-line tools, scripts, and code examples.
Understanding of backend services, databases, indexing systems, and cloud infrastructure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to developers of varying experience levels.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-moving environment.
Experience in Developer Relations, technical support, solutions engineering, developer success, or another developer-facing position.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Blockchain, or a related field.
At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Must be based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur.
Bonus Experience
Previous experience in a developer-facing role within blockchain, cryptocurrency, or decentralised technology.
Experience building within the Solana ecosystem.
Experience creating technical tutorials, videos, webinars, or conference presentations.
Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
